Update! \o/

February 1, 2009

I guess most of you people have given up on me by now. Nobody is seeing any posts from me in the Interface Forum and UICavern.com doesn’t even seem to be up any longer.

So I thought I’d give you guys a status report:

I still play WoW, but I’ve migrated to Darksorrow (EU) and my name is now Siiana. I’m still working on UICavern, believe it or not, but it’s more of a school project than a serious project now. I don’t think it’ll become very big because there are really so much better sites out there. The server UICavern was on was shut down, but we will toss it up on a different server later on. For now we’re just working with it offline… I wouldn’t want to get my hopes up if I were you though, go use Curse.com or whatever. ^_^

Anyhoo’, if you miss me, I’m currently doing some videos now and then and tossing them up on YouTube. Click HERE to visit my YT channel.

Peace out. πŸ™‚

The final update

September 10, 2008

So. I guess most of you people lost faith in me during the long break I took, and I can’t blame you.

Β

So, what is the future for the blog and for UICavern?

Β

Concerning the blog, consider it dead. A blog was a very stupid way to present files and UIs in the first place, and I will not continue it. The blog will still be up though, for people to download the textures or read the guides. It still has an average of 200 visitors per day which warms my heart!

Β

And what about UICavern.com? Fear not! UICavern WILL have a future. Today, me and a classmate finally settled that we will use it for our 1-year school project. However, this classmate is not the original programmer which I worked with when I first created UICavern. The old programmer was somewhat more skilled, but we will put our brains together and work hard!

Β

So, keep looking at UICavern.com. I know it’s been looking dead for almost a year now, but things will finally start happening to it. I might update my progress straight onto it, or in this blog – but probably not. So I guess this’ll be my final post here. Thank you for following this blog’s progress, it was a funny ride. A special thanks to Caze who’s probably been the most active reader. I’ll see you all on UICavern! πŸ™‚

Update!

February 29, 2008

Felt like it was time to update after all this time.

Well, me and my friend are quite busy at the moment so it’s hard for us to work with UICavern. I’m currently working with a minimalist UI (quite like the one in the previous posts), but I’m waiting for 2.4. No point in releasing it now and then it’ll be all buggy in a couple of weeks anyway. πŸ™‚

UICavern Teaser!

January 31, 2008

Well… Anyone visited http://www.uicavern.com lately? πŸ™‚

It’s up mainly to showoff. You cannot register at the moment.

Sorry for the slack, but we’re human also! πŸ™‚

… And here it is.

January 9, 2008

It’s pretty different from my latest UIs. You might notice that I’ve gone back to my lovely damasks, but this time it’s a bit more discrete. Also this UI has big similarities to Weyan’s UI, so I’ll give him much of the credit. I don’t know if I’ll release it, because of that. Doesn’t completely feel right. πŸ˜€

Sorry for the slack, but it’s finally here! My PvP edition of the 2nd Siana UI.

Here’s the new screenshot of it. There’s one thing with it that still isn’t very nicely configed, and that’s DBM, but I’ll leave that to you guys.

Just head over to the UI Gallery and grab it. Note: This is a PvP UI. It hasn’t got a good raid frame, or Omen, or other essential PvE AddOns. Feel free to use it for PvE, but you might have to add some things to it.

One more thing. On the left hand side the blue line is a bit thinner than the others. The reason for that is because I play in Windowed Mode. I might release a fix for it, but to be honest, it’s such a small detail so you should be able to take care of it yourselves.

Merry Christmas!

December 24, 2007

Ho ho ho! Fun times, fun times.

Alright, so where’s my PvP UI? Well, it’s acctually finished… I’m just lazy. Too much christmas work to do, I’ve had no time to upload it. I’ll do it soon, I promise. πŸ˜›

And where’s the BETA of the website? Well, don’t blame me this time, the guy responsible for the server is never online so it’s hard to get it up. I’ll keep trying, he will probably be easier to get in contact with when christmas is over.

Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas!

Computer fix’d!

December 6, 2007

Hallelujah!

So, I was just about to pick out my graphics card to send it back to the shop, when I tried putting everything back into the system one last time… And guess what? It worked! Seemed like the problem was just a RAM memory stick that was a bit loose. This means, I’m one step closer to finishing my new UI! Going to do some changes first though, I’ve been scrobbling loads of forums and threads while being unable to play, so I have some new inspiration. πŸ™‚

UI Teaser up!

November 30, 2007

Well, here’s a first screenshot of the UI. Not fully configured, but you get the picture. πŸ™‚

Allright. It’s been very nice all the time running this blog, but I’ve realized a thing. There is really no website for eePanels2 textures, and not really a good one for complete UI compilations. That is why I’ve now decided to create a whole new website. It will contain options to download/upload art and download and upload UIs. Of course you’ll also be able to comment, rate and stuff like that.

This is a very early notification and I haven’t start working on it yet, but I’ll publish a link when the BETA is up.

Β HERE is a link to my thread concerning it.
