After two weeks of slacking I finally “completed” the UI. This UI has been harder for me to finish for me for a couple of reasons:

1) I’m not actively using it

2) I couldn’t raid test it or anything like that

3) It was just after a patch, some AddOns were buggy

If you find something that isn’t configured (Grid for sure isn’t) you’ll have to do it yourself I’m afraid. But I think most of you people just want to get your hands on the UI and then make your own personal changes, so here it is.

Most of you might also understand that it will take a while before UICavern is here. Lack of motivation is the biggest reason, me thinks. However we are thinking about finishing the site and working to improve it as a school project. Nothing is decided yet, but should this happen the site wont be released until this fall.

So I’m not going to do very many UIs for 1280×1024. Main reasons are first that I can’t be arsed doing two verisions of the same UI (I’ve already done a PvP and a PvE verision of my v.2 UI) and also that it’s difficult to do with my screen. However, it’s great when you guys redo my UIs for your resolutions…

Hello everybody! Not far left to christmas, and I’m having a hell of a time with work. Anyway, I need to give you some hot updates about my progress!

Let’s start off with the UI I showed a picture of a while back. It’s pretty much finished. The reason it took me so long is because I’ve stopped raiding, and that makes configuring Omen and such not really nessecary. Acctually, Omen yet isn’t configured! But I’m going to leave that to you.

So, there’s a few things that aren’t completely configured in my new UI, but most of it should work allright.

So why would I release an almost finished UI? Well, the answer is quite simple: since I’m now PvPing, I do not intend to keep that UI. I want more screen space, get rid of Grid, replace the space with a Combat Log, get PvP AddOns such as Proximity and probably NCB. So there’ll be a PvP UI released later on. Of course you can use the PvP release for PvE and vice versa. Please remember that all my UIs are in the resolution 1680×1050 now.

For all of you waiting intensely for the website, I’m afraid you’re gonna have to wait a while more. Don’t get me wrong; we ARE working on it. At the moment the website’s design is 100% working and a database for registering and logging in is pretty much done. The problem is that there’s not much sense in releasing the website with that little done. Keep making and saving all your art and the UIs you’re proud of for a future upload! 🙂

Well, in a thread at the WoW-Europe forums I came to realize that the tribal art in the downloads section is in fact broken. It’s a bit smaller now, but now it should work fine. Please report any other not working .tga files (file pieces that are in wrong resolution and not the power of 2).

Allright, I’ve now fully scrapped the gray UI as well (lol). The art for it is released, so just head over to the downloads section if you want it. I’m now working on a new art for my UI. This one is pretty grunge-ish and I’m pretty sure I’ll keep it. I wont post any ingame pics because I haven’t reached very far yet, but I can post the art for you guys: Click!

Note: This isn’t a complete eePanels2 texture, it’s just a preview. I’ll upload them soon.

Allright, so I decided to scrap this UI. It’s simply not my style, I realized. Also I want it to be more minimalistic.

Here is a link if you’re interested in how it turned out. This UI will unfortunately not be available for download, I just can’t be arsed to complete it to 100% (for example, the buffbars still have my old texture…).

Anyway, should anyone be interested, I’m releasing the .tga textures for it! Maybe you can make the UI look better than I could!

First texture fix up

Allright, so now I’ve fixed the first texture by cutting it up into three 512×512 .tga files. I’m replacing the file in the downloads section now. Here‘s a screenie of it.

I’m a bit busy so I acctually don’t have time for the second texture at the moment, but I’ll fix it tomorrow if I can, and write a short tutorial while I’m on it.

Allright, the last two posted textures are now up and available for download. Just go to the download section and grab’em. 😉

I have to add one thing, though. I haven’t in any way tested them, to get them up fast. They’re in 1280×1024 and I’m not sure if that runs with eePanels(2). If that’s the case you’re gonna have to resize them (or ask me to do it if you don’t know how to). 😛

Also, please, leave a comment. This blog has got about 130 unique visitors each day and about 4000 visitors each month, and so far I’ve gotten 2 comments from all of them. 😦

But hey, I guess my work is so astonishing so you don’t know what to say, eh? 😀
